If you didn’t already know this, I had been planning to write a book about BDSM years ago, shortly after I started the Dominant Desires website back in 2010. I’d wanted it to be sort of an introduction to BDSM, which if anyone would be capable of writing, it would be me.
But, life tends to get in the way of things that you want to do at times. Not to mention, I’m really good at procrastinating. Now that I think of it, I’m pretty sure that there’s no way you could have possibly known this. If you did however, hats off to your clairvoyance.
In any case, after what seemed like an eternity of thought, and getting over that whole procrastination thing, I’m happy to announce that officially I’m tossing my hat into the ring of lifestyle-related authors. The thing that helped in my deciding to finally do it is that I figured it’s really the only logical next step in my journey as an educator regarding this lifestyle of ours. And having loads of support from some really awesome people (you know who you are), has made my going about this whole thing a bit easier.
My new book, titled ‘Welcome to the Darkside: A BDSM Primer’, will hopefully answer a lot of questions for people new to this lifestyle, or even questions that people who’ve been around a bit didn’t even know they had — serving as the aforementioned BDSM primer, if you will. I’ll be honest, when I started writing things out, I didn’t think I had so much information in my head. Needless to say, I’m pretty excited about the whole thing. Welcome to the Darkside will hopefully be the first of many books I write. Right now, I’m still in the editing stages of it (I’m already done with the cover), but my goal is to release the book around October 2019.
